Salt Lake City Urban Flea Market | Vintage Finds

The Downtown Salt Lake City Urban Flee Market is new this year. It's located on Main Street and 600 S. Definitely a must-do while the weather is warm!

It's a shame that they only hold this market once a month (the 2nd Sunday of the month.)  This is actually a flee market like I remember going to when I was younger in Wisconsin and not like the indoor flee markets that are more like yard sales here in Utah. This one is mostly filled with vendors selling vintage/antique/local craft and reconstruction. There are also some of the vendors from the Farmers Market set up.

So far I have bought some peacock and deer figures, they were really cheap and I bargained for them to get them at the price I did. I am planning to fix them up and make them look like new pieces for our apartment, which I will post pictures of.

There are some pretty cool things being sold here-  it's not lacking some really old, creepy and retro items.

Prague | Places to Go

Prague is one of the places I have wanted to go since I was quite young.  I actually first became aware it existed from Mandy Moore movie.

When Meg and I took our grand tour of Europe Prague, or any Eastern European country, didn't make the cut because it takes a really long time to get there via train. I finally had the chance to go while visiting Rob in London last November, we had decided it would be cheaper to go and stay in a different country rather than spend the whole week in London.

Prague turned out to be more and less than I expected at the same time.  It definitely didn't meet my Mandy Moore movie expectations, but it turned out to be a pretty magical city.

I think I was expecting Prague to resemble Disneyland's "It's a Small World" ride, with cute little Bavarian buildings.  When we got there though, it was slightly more cold than I expected both literally and figuratively.

Let me start at the beginning of this adventure.

3.1 Phillip Lim for Target Lookbook

This week Target announced that the next designer collab will be with 3.1 Phillip Lim!

I'm a huge fan of the target designer collaborations and this one is perhaps the best news- I love the tailoring on 3.1 Phillip Lim.

Here are some of my favorite looks from the official lookbook (I may have to get some items for Rob.)

The collection has amazing tuxedo pants and bags, I hope that the stores here will stock the blue pants and the yellow bag.  You can't buy many of the collab items online. It's pretty disappointing that the women's shoes shown in the lookbook are not part of the collection.

Check out the full lookbook.

Albert's Wisdom

Quoted: Albert Einstein

Today is a really strange and nostalgic day.  Today is exciting and renewing. Rob will be home and I am about to start an amazing job that makes me feel excited about the future.

Rob is on a plane home from London today, and it feels really surreal that it has been an entire year since he left.  I can’t help but reflect on how this year has affected me. The year has been both insanely long and gone in a blink at the same time.

Catch the travel bug

LOVE This!

I stumbled upon this intro paragraph in AFAR Magazine (my favorite travel magazine.)  It sums up why traveling feels so good and either you love the feeling or you hate it.

Pasadena

H&M Dress

H&M Dress

H&M Dress

H&M DRESS
H&M GOLD CLUTCH

Here's the first outfit post on the blog!  It's really still too hot in Utah to spend more than a few minutes shooting photos outside so most of the photos taken were blown out and full of squinty eyes.  I think waiting until around 7 pm will be better for the rest of the Summer

The grounds outside my apartment are great for photos, there are fountains and extremely colorful gardens.  The gardens blended in with the dress so much that it made me think of a warm weather retirement community.

Megan has agreed to participate when she has time, which is great because I prefer to take the photos (so does Meg!) She will probably show up on here quite a bit.

Battle of the cutout boot

Both of these boots are a must on my wishlist!  I love the current trend of pointed toe shoes with a point that looks like it belongs on wizard shoes.

The boots on the left are Tibi Perla boots in olive and the style on the right is from Nasty Gal's July Lookbook- Evermore buckled boots. Tibi is quickly becoming my favorite shoe brand.
